The ruins of Pumamarca are approximately 2.5 hours from the Inca town of Ollantaytambo and is one of the most popular destinations in the Sacred Valley. The area is very interesting because it is the place where the Spaniards suffered a defeat in their confrontations with the Incas. Pumamarca is a fortress built on a steep hillside, which was built to control the entrance to the Sacred Valley of the nearby jungle. After a demanding ascent, it is rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view and the knowledge of the visit a place known only to a few tourists. After visiting Pumamarca, you will spend the night in Aguas Calientes and get up early to visit Machu Picchu.
Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Pumamarca - Machu Picchu PuebloIn the morning you will be picked up at your hotel with our private transport to the town of Ollantaytambo. Along the way, you will make a stop to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in a beautiful setting. Once you arrive in Ollantaytambo, you can explore the place with your guide, who will tell you the history of the area. Once the tour ends, you will have enough time to explore the city of Ollantaytambo with its majestic archaeological site and temple of the sun located in the heart of the Inca people. Once the tour is finished, you can take the train connection to Machu Picchu or return to your hotel.

Day 2: Machu Picchu - CuscoOn the last day, you will first have breakfast in your hotel and then the first bus at 5:00 a.m. To Machu Picchu. If you still have energy, you can also go up to Huayna Picchu (2720 m / 8923 ft).
