Sacred Valley of the Incas

The river Urubamba or Vilcanota is one of the most important elements to appreciate the beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Inca, which comprehends the towns of Pisaq, Traces, Yucay, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. In each one of them archaeological remains that were built by the different Inca exist and used as fortress, residences, storing centers and places of rest. At the moment they are ideal places to make handmade purchases and to enjoy the attractiveness that offers the nature. The sacred valley was one of the main production points historically for the wealth of its lands, at the present time it is the place where takes place in better grain of corn. 

Access: You acceed to the Sacred Valley of the Inca for two roads: the asphalted highway Cusco - Pisaq (to 32 Kilometers of the city of Cusco) or for the asphalted highway Cusco-Chinchero-Urubamba (to 72 kilometers of the Cusco). For both roads services of buses exist at all times.  

Climate: The climate is tempered to be located in a valley, its altitude fluctuates between the 2,800 and 2,900 m.a.s.l its temperature it oscillates between the 15ºC and 20 ºC.
